These motors measure slightly over 1 inch long and 3/8th wide, they are real quiet and when used with Eric Johnson’s ear motor voltage regulator they will spin at the perfect speed.   I have used these motors in my own ears for almost a year and have had no problems.  They are dc motors with steel reduction gears (not plastic) and are reversible. They work with voltages from 1.5v to 12v and will fit into Bill K’s ear posts just by cutting them in half and hollowing them out and glue them back together.  For those making their ears from 1 1/4in wooden balls and small wooden flower pots I have provided some pics showing how I did them.  I don’t think these will work with Norm’s aluminum ear posts.
