Scott sent these out pretty quick.  I had a problem with them but I didn't get a response to my emails.  The problem was I dropped one of the ears and it shattered into about 15 pieces.  I was hoping to buy another ear shell to fix it but I just ended up making my own ear and using the motor.  I like these motorized ears but they are a tad fragile and a little noisy.

Scott's service was exceptional.  He responded to all my questions I emailed to him promptly, even notifying me when the parts had been shipped.  They were packed extremely well arriving here in England.  The ears were exactly as described and I am very pleased with them.  As for the brain kit, it's not until you see it for real that you appreciate the workmanship that went into producing it.  It's a precision piece with all the cut-outs crisp and sharp.  This part from Scott is definitely a must have for any builder for their B9 and I would thoroughly recommend it.

Date ordered & paid for on Scott’s original "Introductory Offer" March 6th, 2004.  Received Jan 7th 2006, although the last 2 week delay apparently was a post office foul up returned to sender and had to be resent.  Scott had promised delivery dates several times and many things interfered on his end.  I was very patient, never complained and allowed delays because I wanted the parts, not my money back.  Each time he shipped parts I was left out of the list and I immediately notified him but delays continued.  If you have the time to wait Scott makes pretty good components.  I will never buy parts again that are not in stock and cannot go out the next day or same week, my mistake.  I asked Scott if he could send me a set of eye lenses for my patience on this and he did which was a nice gesture that I had to ask for.

"If I only had a brain." I finally got one!  The ssande brain, best reproduction ever!  I'm impressed with its sharp detail around every irregular pattern cutout hole, smooth upper and lower waves which meet in perfect alignment, and the gradual concave curvature (which I never knew about) on each surface of this triangle.  Mine came preassembled, neat work.  A piece to admire, not bulky.  Amazingly light, too. It's delivery was not prompt, I'm afraid.  Dates were changed time and time over.  However, my rating on delivery would have to be a 4, not the highest yet not the lowest.  Getting your order late is better than never getting it at all.  Scott, you gotta do something about those fantasy deadlines!  Nevertheless, I thank you very much!

  Extremely reasonably priced.  Also saves considerably over micro-motor method of motorizing ears.

  Extremely long wait for delivery.  I know these were in development when I ordered them on 3-9-2004, so when Scott said, on 3-10-2004, he would be “casting parts next week” providing molds arrived on time, I felt it might take slightly longer than it appeared.  So I waited 5 months before requesting an update.  On 8-2-2004 I was told they would be “shipping shortly”.  When I checked back later I was told on 8-19-2004 they would be shipping “within the next two weeks”.  On 9-30-2004 I was told “out in about a week”.  On 10-25-2004 I was told “ready to ship this week”.  During October I purchased one of Scott’s brain kits from a member who was still waiting for delivery.  On 11-16-2004 I was told the ears “will ship with brain”.  12-1-2004 brain arrived, no ears.  Early in January I emailed Scott complaining about his inability to meet his own ETAs.  I was told 1-5-2005 the ears would be “done and packed up over the coming weekend.  Ears shipped 1-31-05 and arrived 2-5-2005.

  Although Scott always responded quickly to my emails either (A) I was being given an ETA for shipment which was never met, or (B) I was being told the part was ready to ship when it really was not.

  On Scott’s behalf I must say he has some really wonderful parts at some of the most reasonable prices of any vendor.  I cannot emphasize this enough.  He also seems like a very nice guy and is always quick to respond to questions.  He also always extended the option for a refund.  I must also say he had a number of demands on his time and energy from other sources in his life during this.  BUT, when in the same timeframe as this transaction he had the time and energy to devote to designing, crafting, and offering many new parts it only adds to my frustration.  I often wished he had used a fraction of the time and energy that he used developing parts for future customers to instead take care of his current paid customers.  
It is not so much the wait as the repeatedly inaccurate updates.  I hope this does not come off too harsh.  This is just one transaction.

I literally had the Brain assembled in a matter of 10 minutes.  It went together flawlessly.  It is designed to fit together using an interlocking tab system.  Simply line up the tabs to the corresponding slots and give them a "twist" with a pair of pliers.  The next step is to solder the tabs and then grind flush using a Dremel sanding wheel.  The "Top Plate" has screw holes already in the correct locations.  You just line them up and run in a self-tapping screw.  Lastly is to prime and paint.
The copper plating on the parts was top quality, and the laser cut pieces were of course, perfect.

I just wanted to let everyone know that Scots wrists are FINE! Just to let everyone know - I recently received two of Scots "Handyman" wrists and they are really, really nice; awesome! Without seeing a picture I had no idea what condition these wrists were in - I had only the description to go by however; I was pleasantly surprised to only find some tiny air bubble cavities (approximately 0.10") on the INSIDE of the wrists (where the bellows meets the wrist), and a few other small voids in the same places.
Outside of the small defects mentioned there is very little to fix on these babies.

I received my arm rings yesterday and they are very well made, thanks. Now my first season arms can have that alternating peak height we see so well in the 1st. episode when the robot reaches to flip the switch to the "on" position on the robot power console! I was surprised when I saw how much it cost you to ship the rings to me though, and agree that you should raise the price to cover your shipping costs. We don't want you to lose your shirt on this one.
